I am a classical opera singer/teacher and have been using Young Living essential oils to help with my singing. I have been working through some changes vocally -- most notably, eliminating tongue and jaw tension.

Yesterday my jaw was very tight, sore, and tense. It hurt to even touch my jaw. I had to stop my vocal practice, as my jaw was so tight that it really had become frustrating.

I tried the PanAway essential oil blend by itself yesterday -- with no luck. I went to bed with a sore jaw and a tension headache. I always use the Peace & Calming essential oil blend at night, which at least helped me to fall asleep quickly.

Today my jaw was not as sore, but it was still noticeable. So today's experiment went like this:

* I applied 1 to 2 drops of PanAway, rubbing on the jawline and up to the temporomandibular joint and massaging gently.

* I followed this with 1 to 2 drops of the Valor essential oil blend, rubbing on the jawline and hinge.

* I followed with 1 to 2 drops of Sacred Frankincense, half rubbed on the jaw hinge and the rest rubbed on the back of the neck.

After about a minute I felt a sense of relief, of calm, of the tension just melting away. There was a lightness -- it was so cool!

My jaw does not hurt at the moment. Everything feels calm now.

I will use this same regimen if/when the soreness returns, but I am just amazed at how it helped today!
