My daughter Julie, who had an accident in 2012 and was left with one paralyzed arm, decided in May 2013 to build a fire in the wood stove. It is more difficult with only one arm, so she decided to use something powerful... bad idea!
Julie used fondue oil, and naturally the flames came right back at her. Her sweater caught on fire, her entire face and some hair burned, and so did the floor.
We brought her immediately to the hospital, where she was put on the respirator for about 6 days because her throat had already begun to swell. She also had first and second degree burns on her face. She looked like a monster!
Julie came out of the hospital on the eighth day, and I wanted her to start on LavaDerm Cooling Mist immediately, but she was afraid. So she started it on her hand where she had burns also, and there was a great change the next day.
So then she started to use it on her face on the tenth day. Believe it or not -- just nine days later -- her face was as clear as a baby's face. I am a nurse myself, and my feeling was that her face would be all cleared up in a year or so. I took pictures before and after, and believe me -- it is striking. I could not believe it.
Julie's face improved so fast that her in-laws and friends were saying, "Oh! I thought Julie had a bad burn. I guess it was nothing after all." But when they see the picture, they back up. It is unreal; it is like a miracle. There is no other word for it!
