Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My daughter, who has cerebral palsy, had a pressure sore (pressure ulcer, decubitus ulcer) on her spine that was becoming quite problematic. It wasn't going to be too long before it would start bleeding, as the outer skin was beginning to crack and peel.

As I was new to essential oils, I felt certain there had to be one that would help with this issue. So I began researching what could be used. All my research pointed me to Helichrysum oil, but I have still not been able to order that due to it being out of stock.

I decided to just try Lavender oil applied neat (undiluted) directly to the pressure sore, since Lavender oil has been touted by so many people and for such a wide variety of ailments. After about two to three weeks of faithfully applying the oil to her spine once or twice a day, the skin was no longer peeling and cracking.

Now, after about nine weeks, the place where the pressure sore was is just a darkened, red-colored spot on the skin, and it is totally gone. I am still using the Lavender oil to attempt to lighten the scar.

Because I wasn't able to purchase Helichrysum oil, I am thrilled that I tried Lavender oil and that it worked!
