Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

This spring, like many other people, I suffered from allergies worse than I ever had. My newborn baby even suffered. Even though doctors said she was too young to have allergies, I still truly believe that is what it was.

Well, I decided to try some essential oils to help alleviate our suffering. I would give her a bath and diffuse some Eucalyptus oil to help open her up so that she could breathe. Then I would give her a bath with some Lavender and Rosemary oils diluted in the bath water, and that would help her sleep.

While I was so worried about healing her, I kind of neglected myself. I ended up with a sinus infection. I used a neti pot to clear out my sinuses one night and ended up waking in the middle of my sleep with excruciating pain in my left ear.

I went to a doctor in the morning and was diagnosed with an ear infection caused by the neti pot pushing the bacteria into my ear. Well, they gave me an antibiotic and steroid drops to use, but, because I am still nursing my baby, I did not like the idea of using them.

I turned to essential oils to help with the pain and drainage. I used Young Living's Purification oil blend every day, 3 times a day, until the symptoms went away. Within a week of rubbing the oils on the back side of my ear and down my neck -- and also putting a drop on a cotton ball and sticking it in my ear -- my pain had gone away, and my ear had started to drain.

I believe that the essential oils helped both of us out.
