I have had a couple of procedures done this month, and both were unpleasant and required anesthesia. The first time around, I ended up with a nasty bruise on the back of my hand where the IV was. It hurt... a lot. The bruise covered half my hand!

I did not have any essential oils with me, and it was quite a few hours before I got home. It took almost 2 weeks for that bruise to go away (and I generally do not bruise easily). I decided that I was NOT going to have that happen again.

Fast forward 2 weeks. After my previous experience -- and knowing that I was going to have another IV in the back of my hand with more anesthesia -- I came prepared! I was bound and determined to stave off a bruise, if at all possible, and to minimize any pain in the back of my hand. (That is one of the worst places to get an IV... Owwwwww!)

As soon as they pulled the IV from my hand and I got the bleeding stopped, I applied Lavender oil and the Valor and PanAway oil blends. No bruise... no pain. And the only indication that you could see that something had happened was a small prick mark from where the IV was inserted.

This trio of essential oils is definitely going to be my go-to for bruising!
