Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

Our adult son suddenly developed stomach cramps, headache, nausea, body aches, fever (100.7 when I checked), and chills. He was literally doubled over with pain and shaking with chills when he showed up at our front door.

We suspected that he had eaten some bad food. Or it could have been a rapid-onset stomach virus. But whatever it was, it was bad.

We contemplated going to the emergency room but decided to use essential oils first. And if the fever were to get to 103 with continuing pain, we agreed we would be on our way to the hospital.

I slathered DiGize and Thieves essential oil blends on the bottoms of my son's feet. Then I had him drink a small glass of water with 10 drops of DiGize and 5-6 drops of Thieves. I even had him rub several drops of DiGize on his belly.

A few minutes later my son drank 2 ounces of NingXia Red with about 6 drops of DiGize and 4-5 drops of Thieves. I checked the fever again after half an hour, and it was down to 99 degrees.

Then I reapplied the essential oils to the soles of his feet and added a couple of drops of Peppermint this time. I rubbed even more DiGize on his belly.

Within 45-50 minutes of starting the essential oil applications, all symptoms were gone. GONE!!! As I type this (a little more than 90 minutes since my son showed up at my door in agony), he is rooting around in the kitchen for something to eat!

If we had gone to the emergency room, we would have waited hours to be seen and most likely would have ended up with an antibiotic, a bag of saline, and a $3,000 bill. The cost of the essential oils we used was under $10, and the speed of relief was nothing short of miraculous.

THIS is why I am a "crazy oils lady". THIS is why I want everyone to know about Young Living! THIS is why every home needs our essential oils! Thank God for Young Living Essential Oils!

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: viruses — "The presence of beta-caryophyllene in many essential oils might contribute strongly to their antiviral ability. These results indicate that phenylpropanoids and sesquiterpenes present in essential oils contribute to their antiviral activity against HSV [herpes simplex virus]."Link
2.Associated topics: viruses — "Taken together, we found an essential oil blend [Orange, Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary] notably attenuates influenza virus PR8 infection in vitro via inhibition of viral protein synthesis at the post-transcription level. The lack of toxicity and potent specific inhibition ability make the essential oil a possible antiviral drug for influenza virus proliferation control and treatment."Link
3.Associated topics: gastrointestinal,upset-stomach-/-tummy — "Foeniculum vulgare Mill, commonly called fennel, has been used in traditional medicine for a wide range of ailments related to digestive, endocrine, reproductive, and respiratory systems. Foeniculum vulgare has emerged as a good source of traditional medicine and it provides a noteworthy basis in pharmaceutical biology for the development/formulation of new drugs and future clinical uses."Link
4.Associated topics: gastrointestinal,upset-stomach-/-tummy — "Gastroprotective effects of Lemon essential oil: In ethanol model, CL (citrus lemon) and LIM (limonene) [component of Lemon] demonstrated 100% of gastroprotection.... In vivo analysis and histological assay showed that the two essential oils displayed significant dose-dependent edema [swelling] inhibition effect over time. They displayed strong analgesic [pain-relieving] and antipyretic [fever-reducing] properties similar to that induced by 50 mg/kg of acetylsalicylate of lysine.... This work demonstrates the anti-inflammatory property of Cymbopogon citratus [Lemongrass] and Eucalyptus citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus], suggesting their potential role as adjuvant therapeutic alternatives in dealing with inflammatory-related diseases."Link
