I have an ongoing battle with the gout from time to time, it used to be once or twice a year, well I must be under stress and acidic because it seems like it is every other week. The doc gave me pills which I hate, but as a last resort I take them when it got so bad in my right ankle and toes that to drive was like being martyred.

And forget going up and down stairs, heck, I even cannot continue with my cardiac rehab when it flares up. Last week on a Friday I had an attack, I tried my oils, I finally caved in and took the pills as a last resort.. It took about 4 days and it was gone, just like that.

Well this morning I woke up with another flare up, and we must be getting rain because my knees ached also. I took my cardiac meds this morning along with my NingXia Red juice (just opened a new bottle). I took my trusty shot glass and pumped down 2 ounces with the pills followed by about 6 ounces of water as a chaser.

Side note: A few years ago my daughters were in a buzz, one saw my wife and I taking shots of our NingXia Red juice in the AM, one told the other until the oldest came to us and asked "Hey mom, dad, Do you drink shots, (I think she called them "shooters") in the morning?" Kids, aren't they great!!

So I went to my usual Friday morning business breakfast meeting and moaning all the way with pain in my right foot as I had to accelerate the car, oops!! Too close, slow down, oops hit the brake! Well you get the idea, I was in agony.

I hobbled into the restaurant where we had the meeting, as I was walking back out to the car I noticed, "Hey my foot doesn't hurt anymore, and my knees stopped hurting too!"

I drove home semi pain free and yep you guessed it took another 2 shots of NingXia Red. Nothing hurt all day long and even now, no pain. So for me I am sold on NingXia Red!! Did it totally eliminate the pain, no but I feel better!

So that's it folks. The antioxidant, anti-inflammatory nature of NingXia Red appears to have helped my gout today.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: arthritis — "Ruxiang (Gummi olibanum), the dried gum resin of Boswellia carterii (BC) [frankincense], has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to alleviate pain and inflammation for thousands of years.... The data show that BC extract has significant anti-arthritic and anti-inflammation effects and suggest that these effects may be mediated via the suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines."Link
2.Associated topics: arthritis — "We have demonstrated that Boswellia frereana [frankincense] prevents collagen degradation, and inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory mediators and MMPs. Due to its efficacy we propose that B. frereana should be examined further as a potential therapeutic agent for treating inflammatory symptoms associated with arthritis."Link
