Trouble With My New Ear Piercings

Last Sunday I got my second set of piercings done on my ears. I've been using Lavender to expedite the healing. I have noticed that after sleeping (I'm a side sleeper) my ears would feel sore (like they were bruised) and after applying Lavender it would go away. The more they heal the less sore they are each morning.

A couple days after getting them pierced it occurred to me to use Animal Scents Ointment, so what I did was take them out, rub alcohol on my ears and earrings, and then dip the base of my studs in the ointment and stick them back in. Not only does it feel good but they are healing at a much faster rate. I don't do this every day because I don't want to irritate my new holes too much by taking out and reinserting the studs.

I figured if Animal Scents Ointment can heal rips (bar work from my gymnastics days) to the point of no rawness and greatly reduce size over-night, then the same principle should apply to my new piercings.
