My oldest son, who is 15 years old, was dealing with a host of issues after going to encampment for a week in freezing cold temperatures in north Texas. These issues started with allergies, congestion, and cough which led to fever, inner ear pain, and eye mucous.
He complained of an earache yesterday, in which, I looked at his inner ear with an over the counter otoscope. I noticed that his right inner ear wasn't pink like the left inner ear. In fact, it was very irritated looking, and was blood red in color.
We began with a garlic poultice, which was 1 Clove of garlic mixed with olive oil, heated very slightly just to warm. Then drained the garlic off by pouring it through a cup towel. Important you don't want any garlic pieces in the ear as it can burn the tissue. I had read several years ago, in fact, that the warm (body temperature) olive oil soothes the ear while the garlic gets rid of the infection.
My son was given no sugar during this time, and of course NingXia Red juice was a must as it boosts the immune system. Before bed the inner ear was still red after two applications of the poultice.
Next I decided to mix Lavender, ImmuPower, and Thieves, 2 drops each in the palm of my hand, and added V-6 to dilute. I soaked up the mixture with cotton and placed in his ear. The next morning to my surprise the inner ear looked like the left side, pink. He had no more pain! Praise the Lord!! These therapeutic-grade essential oils have blessed our family in countless ways!
