Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I received a phone call last week from my hair stylist. She and her mother were very concerned about my hair stylist's father.

The gentleman is in his 80's and had been stricken with shingles - on his scalp, and face, especially around his ears and eyes. His face was swollen, he was in pain and barely able to walk or speak because he felt so poorly. I was instantly concerned because it states in the essential oils reference book that shingles near the eyes can cause blindness.

I shared that information with my hair stylist, including that shingles is part of the Herpes zoster family (cold sores) which means there is a virus in his body causing his discomfort. I suggested Raindrop therapy as soon as possible. We made an appointment for first thing the next morning.

When I arrived and saw this gentleman, I almost cried. He was sitting in his favorite chair, eyes closed, clutching the arms of the chair, in obvious pain. I quietly introduced myself and he mumbled hello. His wife was clearly distressed with concern. I introduced myself to her, shared about possible blindness with shingles around the eyes and suggested they call their doctor. My hair stylist did that while I briefly shared with her parents about how a Raindrop works.

I asked if he was able to walk with help, to his bed so I could ease his discomfort with the Raindrop technique. He mumbled yes. My hair stylist and I helped him to their bedroom, a slow and painful process for him. We eased him onto the bed that his wife had prepared for him.

As they removed his socks and shirt, I lined up the kit of oils, including the White Angelica oil blend (I believe this should be added to the Raindrop Kit!). I shared White Angelica with mother and daughter, showing them how to rub their hands together and apply it all over themselves. I shared that this will enhance the benefits for the recipient as this wonderful blend of oils clears negative or adversarial energy that may be in the room.

I offered his wife my essential oils reference book so she could follow along as I gave the Raindrop, in case she was apprehensive. She is a retired registered nurse and she ended up reading sections of the book while I gave her husband a Raindrop.

The Raindrop Technique was performed, as shown in the essential oils reference book. As I shared this amazing technique with him, I watched and could feel his body relax. He even moved into a better position, unaided, so I could get to his neck area easier.

When I was finished, I leaned in close to his ear (he is hard of hearing) and softly said I was finished and he could just go to sleep and wake up feeling like a new person. He quickly turned over, sat up and said, "I don't want to sleep," and briskly walked back out to his chair.

We three women just looked at each other with our mouths open. We followed him back to the living room and sat down with him. The shingles of course was still there (this isn't magic!) But his eyes were bright and wide open and his wife said his color was 100 percent better. I thanked them for trusting in me and the oils (which they had never known about before), and thanked my hair stylist for calling me.

I left with my heart singing with appreciation! Experiences like this are why I share Young Living oils with others. We have opportunities every day to improve people's lives, to ease their suffering, to bring joy and health to family, friends and strangers, who quickly become dear friends like this wonderful couple.
I called my hair stylist the next day to see how her father was doing. She said that he was continuing to improve, so much so that his wife cancelled the doctor appointment made the previous day for him.

That is the power of Young Living oils, and the joy of serving others, of easing their suffering. What a wonderful mission we have as members of Young Living!
