My 18-month old recently had chicken pox. He got them from his dad who had shingles. My son looked awful and was covered from head to toe. Looking at him made me itch.
I mixed Lavender oil with coconut oil and applied it twice a day. I used 3-4 drops per time on his entire body. The only spot he ever scratched was one on his ear.
I also used Lemon oil, since he ran a low-grade temp. However, it did not last long for chicken pox.
The Lemon seemed to keep it low and it only lasted for 36 hours of the 7 day duration.
