While participating in the Dirty Girl mud and obstacle run I hurt my shoulders. On one of the obstacles my arms got caught behind me and just felt stretched or overextended in the wrong direction.

I finished the race and was sore but quickly realized that both shoulders really hurt when I tried carrying my bag. The pain was where my shoulder and clavicle connect (AC joint). I could move my arm but knew I would be really sore.

I used some ice and then looked at the oils I had. I layered Aroma Siez, Wintergreen and Lavender on each shoulder several times the rest of the day and just before bed. I was pleasantly surprised to find I had no discomfort when I got up the next morning. Of course other parts I had not paid attention to did. So I gave the same attention to my knees the next day and all is well now.
