One day while my husband was sitting outside in the glider at my daughter's house, he was smoking his cigar. Well not that I like those smelly things, that's why he was outside. Anyway, he went to get up and bumped his hand on the rail and the cigar was knocked out of his hand and he caught it in his open palm.
Of course this burned and he yelled. I went running outside and he told me what happened so I ran back in and got the Lavender oil and applied a couple of drops to the burn and the sting went away immediately! It didn't even leave a red mark!
Since then I always have an extra bottle of Lavender in my kitchen for those burns we get sometimes while cooking.
