Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My son has suffered with croup since his infant stages. He is now 4 and it has been at least a year since since I've been woken up in the middle of the night by that "barking" cough. In the past I would steam the shower and sit in the bathroom with him, if it was winter, I would bundle him up right after and take him outside to breath in the cold air afterwards. By the next afternoon he would be suffering with a high fever and I would call my doctor and he would prescribe a steroid to stop the croup. This happened often for the first couple of years.

Now that I have blessed with finding Young Living's oils, I tried something different. Of course I didn't have the oils I really wanted to experiment with (Thieves and Breath Again) so I used what I had. When I steamed the shower, I put drops of Peppermint in the shower so the smell would hopefully relieve his congestion.

After sitting in the steamed filled bathroom with the Peppermint, I then used RC on his neck and chest. I also put Purification and Lavender on his feet.

The next morning and throughout the day I diffused Purification with Peppermint and Lavender. I also applied RC on his chest and neck a few times.

That night, we did not get woken up by the "barking" cough - no fever...just a good night's rest! I was pleasantly surprised by the results.
