On Christmas Eve, 2001, my family was in a bad car accident. A driver had passed out, ran a red light, and hit our car. My mom was put into an induced coma after emergency brain surgery to remove a golf ball sized bruised portion of her brain.
A week later, on New Year's Day, her body started shutting down. Miraculously she survived the night.
On January 2nd, they did a test that measured if there was any blood flow to the brain or not. If not, we would have no choice but to pull her off of life support. But there was! They can't tell how much... we were told we just had to wait and see, they could not tell us what would happen when she woke up, if she woke up and was responsive at all.
Right about now my dear friend sent some oils to me to use on my Mom. I was familiar with the oils, but did not have any of my own. She sent Valor, Trauma Life, Awaken, Brain Power, and Clarity. I used them on my Mom in the ICU. I will never, ever forget the first time my Mom opened her eyes - she looked right at me and knew it was me.
Long story short, it was a really long, rough road to recovery. It takes months to recover from a short time in a coma. Even once she started to wake up, they could not tell us how much cognitive function she would have. The brain injury affected her physically more than it did mentally.
This is just amazing, but in hindsight, I now know the oils I was using were specific for brain function. Had I known more then, I would have used even more of the oils, I would have doused her with them, not just used a couple of drops. Even so, I know they played a huge part in her progress.
