I was very alarmed when I found a deer tick on my leg. I don't know how long it was there but I remember having strange symptoms for a few days and I was getting concerned something was wrong as needless to say when I saw the tick, I freaked! I called around and went on the internet and read when you do it (attempt removal)improperly the tick can bury it's head in deeper so when you try to remove it the head will detach from the body and you will remove just the ticks body. The left over head will cause an infection and possible other complications.
I ended up dowsing this tick with Young Living's Thyme oil! Applying that neat I knew what gonna cause so sort of reaction from the tick, so kept applying the Thyme oil and watching it squirm, then I brought the tweezers out the one gentle tug and it came off very easily. What a releif, I did follow up with a Lymes test which was neg!
