Buyer beware.

The stomach bug had been going around my office for a couple weeks. The daily oils that I use are White Angelica and Progessence Plus and I thought they must be helping me avert this illness.

Unfortunately, I got hit with the intestinal discomfort after lunch on Thursday and I ended up leaving work early at 3:30 pm. I didn't even feel comfortable going into the store for fear of an "accident."

I got home and went straight to bed, wondering what oil I could use. I didn't even have the strength to look into my essential oils reference book. I grabbed the Peppermint oil because I knew it helped with pain and rubbed it on my troubled abdomen area.

A little later, I got up for water and decided to take the Peppermint oil orally, but didn't have the recommended capsules. I put a couple drops on toast with jam and ate it.

The Peppermint instantly cooled my throat and while it was a strange feeling, I knew I needed to get it into my digestive system. I applied another treatment to my abdomen later that evening.

The next day I was up at 7 am, still felt weak but the discomfort was gone. I was able to get into work at 11:30 Friday morning. This was incredible! I only missed 4.5 hours of work.

My co-workers were amazed to see me back to work because they missed multiple days of work.

This work demonstrates the anti-inflammatory property of Cymbopogon citratus [Lemongrass] and Eucalyptus citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus], suggesting their potential role as adjuvant therapeutic alternatives in dealing with inflammatory-related diseases."Link
