Through the years my family has been a foster home for Great Danes. We once got a dog in that was covered in ring worm, and as a result I got it as well.
After doing some looking we read that Melaleuca oil (Tea Tree) would remove it.
We put a few drops on a rag and rubbed it on the infected area twice a day and it worked incredibly well on both me and the dog.
It also helped relieve the itching.
I'd say that within the week the smaller patches were gone and the rest disappeared in about 2-3 weeks.
