Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I had my second child in October of 2011, and two weeks later I had a my first severe facial skin infection. Obviously I was distracted after just having a baby and did not pay it much attention.

Two weeks later I was hospitalized with a kidney infection and also had to have the infection on my face lanced. That is when I learned that I had MRSA. Again, I did not think much of it at the time and thought I was fixed from being on IV antibiotics for 4 days.

A few months later I got another infection on my face that started out as a pimple, according to the doctor, this was the entry point for the infection. This infection also had to be lanced.

Over the course of several months this area of my face was becoming re-infected and had to be lanced each time because the Bactrim antibiotic I was taking could not reach the infection internally.

The size of the infections and swelling were alarmingly large. The last MRSA infection on my face just happened spontaneously in my facial tissue. There was no entry point on the skin or break in the skin for it to enter, which meant it was living inside my tissue.

The doctors were very concerned about this, but offered little solutions. I was basically told there was nothing more they could do for me, to prevent these infections from reoccurring. I was so scared for myself and my family!

That is when a family member told me about Oregano oil and that their relative had positive results using it orally and topically to combat MRSA. I started using the oil when I could "feel" an infection brewing, and am happy to report that I have not had an infection since. This oil changed my life and inspired me to learn more about the powers of essential oils!

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: staph-infection-(Staphylococcus) — "[We] investigate[d] antimicrobial treatment of an infected [Staphylococcus aureus] cochlear implant, undertaken in an attempt to salvage the infected device.... 5 percent tea tree oil completely eradicated the biofilm following exposure for 1 hour.... Treatment of infected cochlear implants with novel agents such as tea tree oil could significantly improve salvage outcome."Link
2.Associated topics: staph-infection-(Staphylococcus) — "The antibacterial activity of 14 essential oils and their major constituents in the gaseous state was evaluated against [respiratory tract pathogens] Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Staphylococcus aureus. [The] oils [with cinnamon bark, lemongrass, and thyme being most potent] and their major constituents were shown to be effective against various bacteria tested.... These results indicate that the antibacterial action of essential oils was most effective when at high vapor concentration for a short time."Link
3.Associated topics: antibiotic,staph-infection-(Staphylococcus),MRSA — "As proven in vitro, essential oils [Eucalyptus, Melaleuca Alternifolia, Thyme, Lavender, Lemon, Lemongrass, Cinnamon, Grapefruit, Clove, Sandalwood, Peppermint, Sage] represent a cheap and effective antiseptic topical treatment option even for antibiotic-resistant strains [such] as MRSA and antimycotic [antifungal]-resistant Candida species."Link
4.Associated topics: staph-infection-(Staphylococcus),MRSA,abscess-/-boil-/-carbuncle — "14 plant essential oils -- anise (Pimpinella anisum), bay leaves (Laurus nobilis), cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum verum), clove (Eugenia caryophyllata), fennel (Foeniculum vulgare), hop (Humulus lupulus), Istanbul oregano (Origanum vulgare subsp. hirtum), Izmir oregano (Origanum onites), mint (Mentha piperita), myrtus (Myrtus communis), orange peel (Citrus sinensis), sage (Salvia officinalis), thyme (Thymbra spicata), and Turkish oregano (Origanum minutiflorum) -- were related to inhibition of 10 bacteria (Listeria innocua, coagulase-negative staphylococci, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Yersinia enterocolitica, Salmonella Enteritidis, Salmonella Typhimurium, Proteus mirabilis, Escherichia coli O157:H7, and Klebsiella oxytoca)."Link
5.Associated topics: staph-infection-(Staphylococcus) — "Streptococcus pyogenes [strep] plays an important role in the pathogenesis of tonsillitis.... [T]hyme, cinnamon, lemongrass, tea tree, lavender, oregano, clove, palmarosa, or cajeput [melaleuca] EOs [essential oils] are known to be active against Streptococcus pyogenes, while oregano, basil, mint [peppermint], rosemary, and lavender EOs are known to inhibit another Gram-positive bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus [staph].... We showed that cinnamon presented the higher activity against S. pyogenes compared to the other EOs tested.... 14 [essential oils] showed antibacterial activity against Streptococcus pyogenes.... Among them Cinnamomum verum [cinnamon bark], Cymbopogon citratus [Xiang Mao], Thymus vulgaris CT thymol [thyme], Origanum compactum [oregano], and Satureja montana [Mountain Savory] essential oils exhibited significant antibacterial activity. The in vitro results reported here suggest that, for patients suffering from bacterial throat infections, if aromatherapy is used, these essential oils, considered as potential antimicrobial agents, should be preferred."Link
6.Associated topics: staph-infection-(Staphylococcus),MRSA,abscess-/-boil-/-carbuncle — "Lavender essential oil displays the stronger antioxidant activity against lipid peroxidation in a linoleic acid model system and good antibacterial activity against four rhinitis-related bacteria including staphylococcus aureus, Micrococcus ascoformans, Proteus vulgaris, and Escherichia coli."Link
7.Associated topics: staph-infection-(Staphylococcus) — "[T]he antibacterial activity of lemongrass oil (LG) and its major components (citral, geraniol, and myrcene) against four strains of clinically isolated bovine mastitis pathogens (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae, Bacillus cereus, and Escherichia coli).., as well as their activity on S. aureus biofilm formation [were investigated].... [T]hey inhibit S. aureus biofilm formation and exhibit effective killing activities on preformed biofilms."Link
8.Associated topics: staph-infection-(Staphylococcus) — "Ten of the most known and used commercial essential oils (Cinnamomum zeylanicum L. [cinnamon], Citrus bergamia Risso [bergamot], Eucalyptus globulus Labill., Foeniculum vulgare Mill. [fennel], Origanum majorana L. [marjoram], Origanum vulgare L. [oregano], Rosmarinus officinalis L.
