Warning: Not all essential oil brands are the same quality. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that the oil you are using is made from pesticide-free plants grown in optimal conditions. Also, the brand should be a 100% pure, high-quality essential oil that does not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask trusted friends to find a brand that is reputable.
Whenever I get that scratchy feeling in the back of my throat, I swallow a drop of Thieves. I put a drop in my mouth, allow my saliva to form, and hold it in the back of my throat before I swallow it. I do that every time I have that scratchy/itchy feeling until it doesn't return.
I will also up my use of Thieves oil to brush my teeth. Instead of my weekly brush with a drop of Thieves (and then swallowing), I will brush maybe twice or three times a week...maybe even daily until I no longer feel that sickness trying to bring me down.
I will also do that with a sore throat. I also will put Oregano oil on my throat. I've done this neat and diluted.
I have to add that mentally, I also don't think I'm sick. I don't have time to be sick. So I fight it off mentally and with the oils.
With my kid who's only 6, I will have her swallow a drop of Lemon oil for her sore throat since she can't handle the sting of Thieves yet. She holds the Lemon at her throat before she swallows it. If it stings, then I know she's a little under the weather. If it doesn't sting, I know she's better. I'll put diluted Oregano oil on her throat as well.
Note on brushing with Thieves: If you've never done it before, be forewarned that in doing so will bring out the bugs hiding in your mouth. I got the idea to brush with Thieves on this site...so when I started, I developed a lot of canker sores for about two weeks. Now, I have not had a canker or cold sore develop since then and I've I've been using Thieves on my teeth and the Thieves toothpaste for a year and a half now.
