Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

Diabetes is a very widespread disease marked by high blood sugar levels. I wasn't surprised when I was diagnosed with it, as it runs in my mother's family. I tried to treat it with changes to my diet and increased exercise. While these things seemed to help, they did not bring my blood sugar to acceptable levels and I was prescribed various medications to help.

At the time that I began to use Young Living Essential Oils for other maladies (chronic hip pain, for example), I was on three different medications for high blood sugar levels, taking each twice daily. When I experienced positive results for my chronic hip pain using the oils, I decided to research Young Living products that could balance high blood sugar.

I started using NingXia Red juice three times daily, adding oils such as Cinnamon Bark, Ocotea, Grapefruit, or Slique Essence to the NingXia Red.

After several weeks, I decreased the amount of NingXia Red to one ounce twice daily. Without any other changes, I was able to wean myself off of two of my three prescribed medications. I felt much better knowing that I replaced synthetic medications with natural products. Also, the one medicine I continued taking was only taken once daily.

I have been thrilled with the efficacy of Young Living products, and I enjoy the taste of them too! My physicians were impressed with my progress and encouraged me to continue what I was doing.

The reduction in blood glucose level may be due to the reversible inhibition of alpha-glucosidases present in the brush-border of the small intestinal mucosa, higher rate of glycolysis as envisaged by the higher activity of glucokinase, as one of the key enzymes of glycolysis, and enhanced rate of glycogenesis as evidenced by the higher amount of liver glycogen present after MO administration."Link
5.Associated topics: gestational-diabetes,diabetes — "Z. officinale [ginger] has been used to control diabetes and dyslipidemia [high cholesterol].... The marked rise in body weights, glucose, insulin, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, free fatty acids and phospholipids in serum of the rats that followed 6 weeks of high-fat diet treatment were significantly reduced by Z. officinale treatment.... The present results provide scientific evidence to substantiate the traditional use of Z. officinale in preventing metabolic disorders."Link
