Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I decided to start walking mornings for exercise a few years ago. On doing so I managed to irritate my lower back. Pain became intense and didn't go away so after a few days I went to have an x-ray done to make sure I hadn't done some serious damage. The problem turned out to be inflamed muscle putting pressure on the disc which the x-ray showed I had advanced degenerative arthritis.

The doctor prescribed hydrocodone and diclofenac for the pain and inflammation. The drugs did help, they eased the pain and after a week or so everything was back to normal, the occasional discomfort but bearable. This became an ongoing thing over the years now, always the same problem, same solution and same results.

This summer when it happened again before doing anything else I looked up possible natural solutions to arthritis and back pain. I had recently purchased the 9 Every Day Oils starter kit from Young Living and thought why not.

I applied Valor, PanAway and Lavender three of the oils that come with the kit and a couple drops of Balsam Fir that I had ordered specifically for another pain issue and the pain relief was instant. I mean no pain at all.

These oils are truly amazing!

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: spine,back-pain — "We examined the evidence regarding the effect of herbal medicine on pain in people with non-specific low-back pain (LBP).... Lavender essential oil applied by acupressure appeared effective in reducing pain and improving flexibility compared to conventional treatment."Link
2.Associated topics: osteoarthritis — "Ruxiang (Gummi olibanum), the dried gum resin of Boswellia carterii (BC) [frankincense], has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to alleviate pain and inflammation for thousands of years.... The data show that BC extract has significant anti-arthritic and anti-inflammation effects and suggest that these effects may be mediated via the suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines."Link
3.Associated topics: osteoarthritis — "We have demonstrated that Boswellia frereana [frankincense] prevents collagen degradation, and inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory mediators and MMPs. Due to its efficacy we propose that B. frereana should be examined further as a potential therapeutic agent for treating inflammatory symptoms associated with arthritis."Link
