I am a Massage Therapist and contracted a fungal infection on my hands from one of my clients. I am very conscientious to avoid any areas on my clients that are red, inflamed or look suspicious.
Somehow, this one slipped by me. I hesitate to use gloves during my massage because it decreases the tactile sensation I rely on to give a good, therapeutic massage.
Over the counter fungicides were not working, the itching was horrendous. I even tried a hydrocortisone cream for the itching. Nothing was working!
After consulting the on-line essential oils reference book I finally used a diluted combination of Clove and Oregano oils on my hands and voila, it cleared it up in a matter of four days!
I don't know what I would do without the oils for my practice as well as my personal use!
