Last Saturday, my son and I rented a power washer and set about the task of cleaning our deck. This hasn't been done in over 10 years, so the wood was quite discolored. I mixed 1.5 cups of Thieves Cleaner with 4 gallons of water. Then I poured some into a tank sprayer.

My son first rinsed down the deck with the hose. Next I sprayed all surfaces with the tank sprayer. We waited for approximately 10 minutes to allow the cleaner to soak in.

Then we started power washing. I continued to wet down the areas not yet power washed with the cleaner until my son could get to that section.

When the job was completed, we marveled at how great the deck looked. Our deck is 18 years old, but now it is restored to its original beauty, thanks to Thieves Cleaner and a power washer.
