A couple winters ago we got a major snowstorm. I am not fond of cold weather and snow. In fact, I could go as far to say I really despise it. However, we had 5 inches of snow on the ground with more to come along with ice. So I thought I better shovel the driveway.
I was outside about 30 minutes when I started to get a terrible earache in one ear. This was the first time that ever happened. I am assuming just the cold air getting into my ear caused it.
I came in and immediately put therapeutic grade Peppermint oil behind my ear, rubbed some in front of the ear and down the side of my neck. Then what was left on my finger I just twisted my finger in my ear to get a little on the outer area of the ear.
Within a few minutes my ear felt so much better. So I applied the Peppermint again the same way and, in a few more minutes, the earache was completely gone and did not return.
I am sure if I did not use the Peppermint it would have taken a couple days for my ear to stop hurting and may have even turned into an infection.
