A friend of mine posted on Facebook that she was suffering from her first bout of poison ivy. Not having gotten it before she kept scratching and spreading it before she knew what it was.

I offered some Peppermint oil to her and she reported that it dried up very quickly. She said the itching stopped, it became less red and was drying up. She also said that Benadryl didn't touch it so she is glad she took my suggestion and wished she had reached out to me earlier.
