My two-and-a-half year old daughter had an eczema patch behind her ear which became infected with a staph boil. Because she was exposed to MRSA, I was anxious to eradicate it quickly. I originally intended to take her to a physician to verify my treatment, but the doctor's office was closed a day early!

I rotated daily between Lemon, Clove, the Melrose oil blend, and Lavender oils to keep the infection from adapting to any one chemo type. I put two drops of oil on the inflamed area several times daily, and also put oils into the ear canal where it was draining from the inside. I also applied warm, moist heat to the area.

At one point, she developed a low fever and the inflammation appeared to be spreading. I started giving her two drops each of Clove and Lemon by mouth, diluted with olive oil. I only did this for one day; the fever was gone the next day, and the inflammation had left the surrounding areas and focused down into the boil.

After 5 days, the boil appeared to be softening, but was not yet forming a head. When I was unable to get her into the physician's office, I started applying the Thieves Dentarome Tooth Paste to the boil to draw out the infection and bring it to a head so that it could drain.

Within 36 hours of applying the paste (three applications), the boil had ripened and my husband was able to facilitate drainage with a warm bath.

After the bath, I finished draining the wound and irrigated it with sterile saline. I then dropped Lavender into the ear canal and stopped it with a cotton ball, and saturated the wound area with Lavender as well.

I continued applying Lavender over the next couple of days. Less than 2 weeks after the appearance of infection, the wound is completely closed and there is no scar.

I am grateful to have had the supplies I needed to treat my daughter when a doctor visit was unavailable!
