Over-Powering Chemical Smell In A Hotel

Last weekend, I went to a dog show in Michigan. My Cairn Terrier needed 3 points to become a champion, and since I am an owner/handler, I travel using hotels or motels. More experienced dog show people, and professional handlers travel in their own RV, and therefore don't have to worry about hotel or motel rooms and bedbugs.
Also, I did some research and upon checking in, pulled back the covers and examined the mattress as explained. Clean, freshly painted and the mattress had a tag on it, was brand new. Whew!
But the room was doused with a over-powering commercial product, like someone used an entire can of Lysol or Glade or something like that. Sigh, my head was beginning to throb.
Then I remembered that my new order of the "Golden Touch" kit, from Young Living Essential Oils was in my van.
I grabbed my cotton balls, the Thieves and RC oil blends. Next I put a couple drops of Thieves on two of the cotton balls, and placed it on top of the A/C vent under the window, then cranked on the AC.
Twenty minutes later, the previously toxic smells were gone. I also added one cotton ball with 2 drops of RC on it, since I read somewhere that the Purification oil blend and RC help with MRSA and germs and Thieves works for mold. I will need to do more research.
Miraculously, the room began to smell pure and fresh. Almost like a more upscale, expensive hotel! Big relief! I was able to sleep all weekend, and did not experience the typical headaches that attack me when I am exposed to the yucky toxic commercial air fresheners.
My dog was also safe in her crate, and I felt like my job to keep her germ-free and healthy and vibrant was a huge success.
Side Note: the well-known AKC Terrier judge, Mr. Peter Green, loved my dog and we earned a 3 point major at the dog show. My dog is now a Champion of record, and I feel like a champion over my hotel/motel fears.
My travel kit will ALWAYS include Young Living oils, especially Thieves and RC. I am ordering the Purification in addition to these, for even more complete protection against germs.
