My 3.5 year old daughter had a high fever today along with an almost non-stop cough. She was coughing a lot yesterday too. Usually I give her a spoonful or two of honey for this dry persistent cough and it usually stops it in its tracks. Today it didn't. I don't usually give OTC medications but I wanted to stop the cough so we tried some homeopathic children's cough syrup - that helped a little but not much.

I had been putting a mixture of the Thieves oil blend and Peppermint with grapeseed oil on her to keep her fever down (works so quickly!) as well as the RC oil blend for congestion.

I had just read in the essential oils reference book about Cypress for a persistent cough, so at bedtime I added Cypress to our concoction and rubbed on her feet, back, chest, and forehead and within a few minutes her coughing stopped.

Now she is sleeping soundly and breathing easily, with no fever and no coughing! Thanks to God and Young Living for these safe oils that work so well and so quickly to keep our loved ones healthy!
