No more blood transfusions!

I've told this story over and over for the past couple of years, now thanks to this website I can pass it on to many others.

My husband has several health issues. One is that his blood levels go very low and he becomes extremely anemic. Before I meet him, he had several blood transfusions to revitalize his blood. He also has a complicated blood system, where it takes 3 days to make his blood, due to him needing so many anitboities in his blood.

A couple of years ago, he had quite a bit going on and had an appointment at the Mayo Cliniic 7 hours north of where we lived. However, his local doctor needed him to have a transfusion before he went up there. His blood level was at a 3 which is very very low. Urgency was an understatement.

The local hospital did not get the order in time to make it, so Mayo Clinic said that when he came up there to be willing to stay a few extra days so they could do the transfusion then.

We were still dating at the time, and he was not totally sold on all this 'oil business'. Traditional doctors had worked fine for him. However, I asked him to take a spoonful of Ningxia Red every morning until we went to the Mayo Clinic. The appointment was five days away.

He agreed reluctantly after I told him, if nothing else, it would make him feel better in the short run. So after 1teaspoon a day for 5 days, we found ourselves in the doctors office getting ready for the transfusion. The doctor had already had the blood drawn and was looking at the results and told us both that he is not sure what happened in the last few days, but checking both reports 1 week apart, Kevin's blood levels were all at normal numbers.

No transfusion was needed and he has not had one since. I was shocked to say the least but truly happy.
