Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

Leeches are a common parasite to find on walks into the forest, and my garden.

One day I found three fat leeches on my leg at one time. So I experimented different ways to deal with their bites. My usual reaction, after the bleeding has stopped is an annoyingly itchy spot for days.

I found that a drop of the Purification oil blend quickly dropped two leeches off! And those two bite sites that were left behind didn't develop the nasty itch.

Also a drop of Myrrh oil was placed on one of the bites, and that bite wound slowed and stopped bleeding quite quickly. The Purification alone, took a little longer to stop bleeding.

The bite that received the Myrrh as well, was the quickest and most comfortable in mending. And, you guessed it; the one bite that received no oils took a long time to stop bleeding and itched for days.

The oils worked fantastically!

1.Associated topics: parasites-/-worms — "[M]any curative properties attributed to various plants in indigenous medicine are also present in their essential oils.... These oils exert a number of general effects from the pharmacological viewpoint. When applied locally, the essential oils mix readily with skin oils, allowing these to attack the infective agents quickly and actively.... In vitro studies [were] conducted by the author on antimicrobial and anthelmintic [destructive to parasitic worms] properties of some essential oils...."Link
2.Associated topics: itching-(Pruritus) — "[T]ea tree oil seems to be a more effective anti-eczematic agent than zinc oxide and clobetasone butyrate...."Link
3.Associated topics: bite-/-sting — "Thujaplicin, a minor component of Aomori Hiba [Hinoki], showed rather strong antifungal activity against seven kinds of plant-pathogenic fungi.... Thujaplicin and hinokitiol (the major component of Aomori Hiba [Hinoki]) also showed clear antibacterial activity against Legionella pneumophila SG 1 and L. pneumophila SG 3 [Legionnaires disease, pneumonia].... This compound showed strong insecticidal activity against Reticulitermes speratus [termites], and it also had clear acaricidal [ticks, mites] activity against Dermatophagoides farinae [house dust mites].... [T]he strong cytotoxic effect of Thujaplicin on murine P388 lymphocytic leukemia cell line [CLL, chronic lymphocytic leukemia] should be emphasized...."Link
4.Associated topics: bite-/-sting — "Topical 5% tea tree oil is an effective treatment for mild to moderate acne vulgaris.... Tea tree oil has broad-spectrum antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activity in vitro. These properties have formed the basis of its use in the treatment of a range of superficial dermatoses such as cuts, insect bites, boils, and dermatophytosis [ringworm]."Link
5.Associated topics: bleed-/-hemorrhage — "[T]he level and duration of menstrual pain and the amount of menstrual bleeding were significantly lower in the aromatherapy group than in the placebo group. These results suggest that aromatherapy is effective in alleviating menstrual pain, its duration, and excessive menstrual bleeding. Aromatherapy can be provided as a nonpharmacological pain relief measure and as a part of nursing care given to girls suffering of dysmenorrhea or excessive menstrual bleeding."Link
6.Associated topics: bleed-/-hemorrhage — "[A] pulverized mixture of four herbs including Agrimonia Eupatoria (A), Nelumbo Nucifera Gaertn (N), Boswellia Carteri (B) [Frankincense], and Pollen Typhae Angustifoliae (P)... was first described in Chinese canonical medicine about 2000 years ago for treatment of various trauma disorders, such as hemostasis [bleeding], anti-inflammatory, analgesia [pain], and wound healing, etc.... [W]e showed that local ANBP treatment not only significantly enhanced wound healing by relieving inflammation, increasing formation of granulation tissue, and accelerating re-epithelialization, but [it] also reduced scar formation by decreasing collagen production [and] protuberant height and volume of scars and [by] increasing collagen maturity.... [Results show that ANBP] promot[es] wound healing and alleviat[es] scar formation, which may be an effective therapy for human wounds at the earliest stage."Link
