Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I recently made my own insect repellent because we went camping a number of times this summer.

I wanted to try something more natural, none of those toxic chemicals such as a mosquito repellent called, "OFF" that we used in the summer.

I decided to make my own insect repellent, the oils did indeed work, plus it lasted for several hours without reapplying, here is my recipe as follows:

In a small travel size bottle I used:

* 10 drops Peppermint oil
* 10 drops Purification oil (has Citronella)

* 10 drops Lemon oil

* 10 drops Thieves oil (has Lemon, Rosemary, Clove, Cinnamon & Eucalyptus)

* Almond oil as the base oil (Rich source of Vitamin E)
