My horse stepped in a gopher hole and badly sprained his hind leg around the fetlock and cannon area. It was so swollen he couldn't walk on it.
The vet told me to put an anti-inflammatory on it and wrap it in cellophane and he would check on it next week.
I did as he said but I also put OrthoEase, Wintergreen, the Aroma Siez, Relieve It oil blends and Peppermint on it - in that order.
Within 1 day he was off the bute, within 2 days he was walking on it, although limping.
Within 3 days the swelling was down and there was just a bit of heat left in the leg.
Within 4 days the swelling was gone, there was no heat and he was walking normally.
On the 5th day he galloped all the way from the pasture up to the barn and never missed a beat.
