Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I have been under high stress of late and ended up with shingles on my face of all places! I know that is dangerous and it can have the potential of blinding or losing hearing.

I thought it was a bug bite so I kept applying the Purification and Thieves oil blends plus Lavender. It never developed or changed much over several days but shooting pains went to my eyes and ears.

I went to a clinic to have it identified. They said "we're not sure because it hasn't changed into the red oozing blisters". So I had it identified by biofeedback. Then I began a serious attack using 2-3 drops each of Purification, Thieves, the Melrose oil blend and Lavender applied several times. Frankincense oil was used in between the other application of oils.

I took Inner Defense too. It never got to the contagious stage. I started breathing in Peppermint, the Peace & Calming oil blend and Bergamot to calm nerve endings. I applied these to my heart, inhaled and applied to the nerve endings around my ear. It took dedication and I beat it.

A tiny scar that I am working on remains 9 weeks later but no vaccines, no antibiotics because if not diagnosed within 48 hrs, they are useless. I wouldn't have done that anyway. Removing stress is key and using the oils until the right ones work for you.

I love my YLEO! I thank God for them daily.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: hearing, ears — "Essential oils or their components placed in the ear canal can provide effective treatment of acute otitis media."Link
2.Associated topics: herpes — "The presence of beta-caryophyllene in many essential oils might contribute strongly to their antiviral ability. These results indicate that phenylpropanoids and sesquiterpenes present in essential oils contribute to their antiviral activity against HSV [herpes simplex virus]."Link
3.Associated topics: hearing, ears — "[We] evaluate[d] the efficacy of the Pycnogenol [French maritime pine bark extract] in improving cochlear flow and symptoms... for patients with Meniere’s disease (MD), tinnitus, and cochlear hypoperfusion.... Symptoms of Meniere’s disease [spontaneous vertigo, positional vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, pressure in the ear, unsteady gait], flow at cochlear level, and tinnitus improved in Pycnogenol subjects...."Link
4.Associated topics: hearing, ears — "[We] investigate[d] antimicrobial treatment of an infected [Staphylococcus aureus] cochlear implant, undertaken in an attempt to salvage the infected device.... 5 percent tea tree oil completely eradicated the biofilm following exposure for 1 hour.... Treatment of infected cochlear implants with novel agents such as tea tree oil could significantly improve salvage outcome."Link
5.Associated topics: neuralgia,nerve-pain,herpes,shingles — "The patient was successfully treated with topical peppermint oil [for postherpetic neuralgia, a complication of shingles].... The authors believe this is the first evidence of peppermint oil (or menthol) having a strong analgesic effect on neuropathic pain."Link
6.Associated topics: nerve-pain — "Ameliorative effects of Ocimum sanctum [holy basil] in sciatic nerve transection-induced neuropathy...."Link
7.Associated topics: herpes — "Essential oils from anise, hyssop, thyme, ginger, camomile and sandalwood were screened for their inhibitory effect against herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) [genital herpes]. A clearly dose-dependent virucidal activity against HSV-2 could be demonstrated for all essential oils tested. Chamomile oil exhibited a high selectivity index and seems to be a promising candidate for topical therapeutic application as virucidal agents for treatment of herpes genitalis."Link
8.Associated topics: nerve-pain — "Topical high-concentration L-menthol is the only established human experimental pain model to study mechanisms underlying cold hyperalgesia. We aimed at investigating the combinatorial effect of cold stimuli and topical L-menthol on cold pain and secondary mechanical hyperalgesia. Cold detection threshold and cold pain threshold (CPT) increased after L-menthol and remained high after the cold rekindling cycles.... Skin blood flow increased after L-menthol and stayed stable after cold cycles. Repeated application of cold on skin treated by L-menthol facilitated and prolonged L-menthol-induced cold pain and hyperalgesia."Link
