Last week my sister came home with a truckload full of very old antique, dusty, moldy furniture that was willed to our family. We left the antiques in the rental truck and my husband used an ozone machine to hopefully get rid of the mustiness and mold.
After 24 hours of the ozone machine running in the truck, we discovered that the mold was still there.
My sister called me and asked if the Thieves oil blend Cleaner was okay to use on antiques because they were out of options and numerous people in our family are allergic to mold.
I told her to dilute the Thieves extremely well, so she put a 1/2 capful, plus 6 cups of water in a spray bottle and clean all the furniture with it. We knew this was a risk using Thieves on antique furniture, but for us, this was a saving grace!
When I arrived to see the furniture pieces, I never detected any mustiness, dust or mold.
I was amazed and inspired.
