My daughter had pain in her left ear during a bad cold and I took her to her pediatrician. She diagnosed her with an ear infection and put her on an oral antibiotic.
After taking the medication for 5 days, the pain was gone, but she still had a clogged feeling in her ear and couldn't hear very well. She described it as everything sounded muffled, similar to having water in her ear after swimming.
That was when I introduced my daughter to essential oils, and she decided to try them. She put three drops of Lavender oil in a cotton ball and put it in the opening of her ear for about 30 minutes.
Later, when I checked with her and took the cotton ball out, she said her ear was back to normal and she could hear perfectly again. The clogged ear feeling and loss of hearing never returned.
