I am fostering an obese cat named "Winnie". She has been with us for 3 weeks. Today, we found out that she is severely afraid of thunderstorms. As soon as the thunder started, she ran upstairs and hid under the bed. After a few minutes, I went up there with the oils.
As soon as I opened Peace & Calming and Valor, she crawled out from underneath the bed! I mixed just 1 drop each with V6, diluted at 75%. She let me rub the blend on the base and tips of her ears. She calmed down almost immediately, and started purring.
I continued to rub her ears for a few minutes, then left. With the thunder still going, I was surprised when she followed me downstairs. She was noticeably calmer, and the loud claps of thunder didn't seem to bother her as much.
