I just had to share this with everyone. This morning I got out of bed with a stiff lower back, stiff achy joints in the hip and knees, perhaps it was arthritis.
The joints were still stiff and achy even after my walk and exercise at Curves.
When I got home, I decided to use my essential oils before taking a shower. I mixed Wintergreen and Peppermint with massage oil and rubbed this mixture on my lower back and down the legs paying extra attention at the knees and got in a nice hot shower.
Wintergreen oil penetrates deep into the muscles and is very cooling and soothing, especially applying after exercising.
Wow, as I toweled myself dry, I realized the stiffness and aches were gone!!!!

The data show that BC extract has significant anti-arthritic and anti-inflammation effects and suggest that these effects may be mediated via the suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines." | Link |
3. | Associated topics: joints, arthritis — "We have demonstrated that Boswellia frereana [frankincense] prevents collagen degradation, and inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory mediators and MMPs. Due to its efficacy we propose that B. frereana should be examined further as a potential therapeutic agent for treating inflammatory symptoms associated with arthritis." | Link |

5. | Associated topics: joints,muscle-pain,muscles — "Herbalists treat skin ailments, such as fungal infections (like candidiasis), wounds, eczema, and acne, with lavender oil. It is also used in a healing bath for joint and muscle pain. One study evaluating treatments for children with eczema found [that] it was therapeutic touch from the mother that improved symptoms; in other words, massage with and without essential oils (including lavender) both reduced the dry, scaly skin lesions. Another study found that lavender oil may improve pain control after surgery." | Link |
