Keeping Mold Away From My Dish Drainer In The Sink

I have only recently started to use the Thieves Household Cleaner and am very impressed with what I have found so far.

I have a double sink. The small quarter sink has a white plastic insert and I use this sink bowl purely for draining dishes. Therefore no water is run through the plastic insert or the sink bowl. I would find that every 3-5 days I would need to remove the plastic insert and scrub all the mold off the bottom and also scrub the sink bowl itself. If I forgot to do this, then the mold would be quite extensive.

On 26 September 2010, I cleaned up the sink and insert and then with undiluted Thieves Household Cleaner I gave it all a good wipe over. Every few days I would remove the insert to see what was happening. It took until about 23 October for the first signs of mold to appear. Tremendous! Normally if it had been left this long, the mold would probably have been about .5 inch thick (although I never tested this out).

I do not like mold in the house, as I know all the problems it can bring with it and so am grateful to the fact that the cleaner will keep this under control.
