Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

Our 7 year-old daughter got head lice. We used only essential oils and a fine toothed lice comb to treat it. We treated her head 3 times a day for 3 days and then went down to 2 times a day for another 3 days.

After the first 3 days all live lice were gone. After the 4th day of treating no more eggs were seen!!! We still vacuumed, and put her bedding and coats in the dryer on high heat for 20 minutes every day for a week.

We sprayed car seats, furniture and beds with Lavender oil (about 10 drops in 4 ounces). We checked heads through the second week and the lice were indeed gone!

The oils that I used were:

* 4 drops Eucalyptus
* 2 drops Lavender
* 2 drops Geranium
* 1 tsp V-6

We massaged this into the scalp and left for 30 minutes or more. Then shampooed with YLO Lavender shampoo. And then I applied the rinse, making sure to get all of hair with it. Then let dry naturally.

* 2 drops Eucalyptus
* 2 drops Lavender
* 2 drops Geranium
* 1/2 oz apple cider vinegar
* 8 oz warm water

I did not have all of the oils on hand when I first discovered the head lice, so we also used Lemon, Pine, and Rosemary several times as well.
