Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My kiddos are not the best at putting away dishes. You probably know the routine: open cabinet door, insert item (in this case a stack of cookie sheets), then close it quick before they fall out.

One day as I was preparing supper, I figured one of those cookie sheets would come in handy. You guessed it: I opened the door and they DID fall out - and the corner of the stack crashed down, right on the joint of my right big toe.

I didn't say anything for several minutes after that. The pain was intense. I limped to the bathroom, pulled out a bottle of Wintergreen, found the nearest chair and collapsed.

The foot felt like it was made of lead as I tried to prop it up. I opened the Wintergreen and poured some on, not even counting the drops at that point.

My friend asked if I wanted to go the the ER. I shook my head. "What would they do? Take Xrays, and maybe wrap it up and send me home? And how much will THAT cost?"

At least I could talk by that time. It took about ten minutes, and I could feel the pain abating. So I put on a couple drops more. Every 15 to 20 minutes, or so, I applied a couple more drops of the Wintergreen.

By the time I went to bed that night, it was obvious that the toe nail was not as firmly attached as before. It would look really pretty by morning.

Next morning, the toe was throbbing, but not nearly as painful as I thought it might be. The nail was definitely going to be lost. I applied a couple more drops of Wintergreen and went about my daily duties.

Whenever it felt uncomfortable (oddly it never really became painful again), I applied the Wintergreen and carried on. It never hurt again after that.

About a week later, the nail did indeed fall off, but underneath, a beautiful healthy nail was already halfway grown. It took another few weeks to grow in fully, but now one could never tell that I lost it at all. Whenever anyone speaks of bone pain or broken bones, I tell them about Wintergreen.
