Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I was diagnosed with colon cancer at age forty-eight in 2005. I had been taking many RX meds for fibromyalgia, depression and high cholesterol. I had two young children at home and it was very difficult to get through a day - yet I was still functioning and taking care of my responsibilities.

My ob/gyn did some blood work on me prior to my annual pap smear and found that I was anemic. She told me to follow up with my primary care physician (PCP). I was told that I had a hematocrit level of twenty, and even so, the beginning level starts at thirty-six. My PCP scheduled me for a colonoscopy and the gastroenterologist found a four centimeter tumor that was cancerous. Within two weeks time I was scheduled for a colon resection.

This is when I met people in Young Living Essential Oils. I was given a bottle of NingXia Red Juice and started drinking it prior to surgery. After the colon resection, I contracted lleitis - a type of Crohn's disease. I could not eat or drink and I was in excruciating pain. I was on a morphine drip and given a Pic line for nutrition. I could not eat or drink for twenty days. I continued to have intense abdominal pain. Finally, I went home on day twenty-one of my hospitalization.

A few days after being home, a friend came over and she anointed me with Frankincense oil. I immediately sensed the power of the Holy Spirit and a spiritual healing.

A "knowing" came over me that I would be well. I applied Frankincense and Lavender oils on my belly throughout the day and night using a hot compress. I had a lot of acid reflux and to relieve It, I continually drank drops of Peppermint oil. I ate an alkaline based diet and used Bragg's Organic Cider Vinegar. For nutritional supplements I used the essential oil blend ComforTone, Detoxzyme, Multigreens and Sulfurzyme. I also started ingesting capsules of Frankincense and Lavender Oils every few days.

Two months later, I went through seven months of chemotherapy every two weeks with six hour sittings and three different chemo medicines going through my veins.

I came home with a forty-eight hour infusion of a chemo drip and a visiting nurse would come to the house after 48 hours to unhook the chemo from my mediport (an implantable vascular access port). As soon as the chemo infusion was finished I would get diarrhea. I used the essential oil blend DiGize, Peppermint and Detoxzyme to relieve the diarrhea. I drank my NingXia Red and within a few days my energy level would start returning and by then it was time to go back to chemo.

During chemo, I carried Peppermint for nausea and the essential oil blend Joy. I applied Joy by massaging it on my heart throughout the six hours of sitting through chemotherapy as well as inhaling the oil. Aromatherapy was very uplifting and it also inspired courage.

There was one time when I could not have my chemo because my white cell blood count was very low and I had a virus. I was given IV fluids for six hours. The treatment team kept monitoring my vitals and they considered hospitalizing me. I did not want to stay overnight in the hospital and I convinced them to let me go home. I told the nurses that if I was not well in a few days I would return. As soon as I returned home, I made vegetable capsules of the essential oil blend Thieves. At first I used six drops every four hours and then I gradually increased to 12 drops. Within four days I was feeling better and had my blood work retaken.

I returned the following week to the oncologist's office to see the nurse oncologist and she was happy that my white blood count had dramatically improved. She left the patient room and called in the oncologist and several nurses on my team. They all came into the patient examining room and hugged me and told me to "keep doing whatever I was doing." They told me that they were very happy for me.

I am in my fifth year of recovery now and on April 30th 2010 I was told by my oncologist that at this point in time they consider me cancer free. I am so grateful to have come through to the other side. I am inspired to help others suffering from cancer. The local cable news channel included a story on my success that can be seen on my website at I am grateful to God for my wellness and for Gary Young making these precious oils available. God Bless Gary and his family.

Today, I continue to drink NingXia Red Juice, I take True Source Supplements, Super C, Essentialzyme, and Detoxzyme as needed. I still make my Thieves oil capsules and ingest one when I am feeling fatigued or when I am overstressed or going to be in a public place in a large crowd. In addition, I use Thieves Fresh Essence Plus Mouthwash toothpaste and AromaGUARD Mountain Mint Deodorant. I diffuse oils and daily burn Frankincense resin in Young Living's resin burner. I continue to apply oils on my feet and the back of my neck.

I use Relaxation massage oil all over my body as a lotion to keep my skin soft. I attend an Aqua fit class four to five days a week and I use the Lavender oil to help defend me against chlorine in the pool. I take other supplements as well depending on my needs.

I say to all cancer patients and survivors, never give up and keep on keeping on. Young Living Essential Oils are lifesaving and life giving. Follow the Holy Spirit within you to guide you. The essential oils reference book is the most read book in my house along with the Bible. Also read about the healing oils of the Bible.
