Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

One of my early experiences with Young Living Essential Oils occurred when I had a "freak" accident where I fell and injured my right big toe. When I got to the other side and looked at my foot I realised that the toe was bleeding profusely. The friends I were with led me to a pharmacy close by and asked for help.

Two or three pieces of gauze were inadequate to check the bleeding and it was suggested that they take me to the hospital. Then I remembered that I had in my purse a bottle of the Purification oil blend.

I asked for another piece of gauze, put a few drops of the oil on it and placed the gauze on my toe, held it firmly for a few seconds. What I saw was unbelievable, the bleeding had completely stopped.

Because my friends insisted, I allowed them to take me to the hospital. This was on a Saturday night when the hospital was dealing with several casualties. After more than two hours of waiting a nurse was free to assist me and she said it was necessary for a doctor to take care of the toe. Another period of waiting.

When the doctor saw me he ordered a tetanus shot, I had not yet learned about the Thieves Oil blend. He told me that if the toe worsened the next day I was to go to the hospital in the adjoining town from which we had come.

Of course, I could not put my foot down to walk, it was the whole underside of the toe that was involved, I worried a bit, but the next day, Sunday, after maneuvering to shower without disturbing the toe, I applied several drops of Lavender oil.

During the course of the day I peeped at the toe and what I saw I thought could not have been real. Already a new skin was forming over what earlier had looked like raw meat. I kept on using a few drops of the Lavender oil, 3 times a day, for the next two days.

By the third day I was able to walk carefully enough to attempt going to work (as a store clerk) and by the end of the week I had just about forgotten my unhappy experience.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: bleed-/-hemorrhage — "[T]he level and duration of menstrual pain and the amount of menstrual bleeding were significantly lower in the aromatherapy group than in the placebo group. These results suggest that aromatherapy is effective in alleviating menstrual pain, its duration, and excessive menstrual bleeding. Aromatherapy can be provided as a nonpharmacological pain relief measure and as a part of nursing care given to girls suffering of dysmenorrhea or excessive menstrual bleeding."Link
2.Associated topics: bleed-/-hemorrhage — "[A] pulverized mixture of four herbs including Agrimonia Eupatoria (A), Nelumbo Nucifera Gaertn (N), Boswellia Carteri (B) [Frankincense], and Pollen Typhae Angustifoliae (P)... was first described in Chinese canonical medicine about 2000 years ago for treatment of various trauma disorders, such as hemostasis [bleeding], anti-inflammatory, analgesia [pain], and wound healing, etc.... [W]e showed that local ANBP treatment not only significantly enhanced wound healing by relieving inflammation, increasing formation of granulation tissue, and accelerating re-epithelialization, but [it] also reduced scar formation by decreasing collagen production [and] protuberant height and volume of scars and [by] increasing collagen maturity.... [Results show that ANBP] promot[es] wound healing and alleviat[es] scar formation, which may be an effective therapy for human wounds at the earliest stage."Link
