Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I had neck pain for two weeks and pain and swelling on my head mostly around the left back of head going up past middle of the ear. It was very tender, painful and numb.

I could feel it spreading toward top of head. It was similar to what I had experienced going through chemotherapy. I went to see the doctor. She told me that I had shingles.

I started using Wintergreen, the Thieves oil blend, Frankincense and Lavender, applying it neat. I took capsules with seven drops of Oregano, seven drops of Thieves and two to four drops of Lavender. I could hardly sleep or find a comfortable resting position for my head.

It was so tender I could not rest my head on a pillow. After taking capsules for two days, I would wake up with sweat on the back of my neck and head. I knew the virus was starting to break.

A friend gave me a Raindrop. Then a few friends told me about Ravensara used for shingles, herpes virus, throat and lung infections, cancer and pneumonia. I placed an overnight order and my friend gave me a bottle to use while I was waiting.

I used the whole bottle during the night and starting feeling immediate relief. The next day I could rest my head on a pillow and I slept during the night.

When my order came, I used the whole bottle neat throughout the day and the red scabs disappeared. I then ingested fourteen drops of Thieves in a capsule throughout the day. It's been two weeks now and I have feeling back in my head, just one tender spot and minimal nerve pain.

I am applying Juniper for the nerve pain. I am so grateful for these precious oils.

Thanks be to God and thank you Gary Young. Thank you to the people of Madagascar where Ravensara is grown. The people call this their wonder oil.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: herpes — "The presence of beta-caryophyllene in many essential oils might contribute strongly to their antiviral ability. These results indicate that phenylpropanoids and sesquiterpenes present in essential oils contribute to their antiviral activity against HSV [herpes simplex virus]."Link
2.Associated topics: neuralgia,nerve-pain,herpes,shingles — "The patient was successfully treated with topical peppermint oil [for postherpetic neuralgia, a complication of shingles].... The authors believe this is the first evidence of peppermint oil (or menthol) having a strong analgesic effect on neuropathic pain."Link
3.Associated topics: nerve-pain — "Ameliorative effects of Ocimum sanctum [holy basil] in sciatic nerve transection-induced neuropathy...."Link
4.Associated topics: itching-(Pruritus) — "[T]ea tree oil seems to be a more effective anti-eczematic agent than zinc oxide and clobetasone butyrate...."Link
5.Associated topics: herpes — "Essential oils from anise, hyssop, thyme, ginger, camomile and sandalwood were screened for their inhibitory effect against herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) [genital herpes]. A clearly dose-dependent virucidal activity against HSV-2 could be demonstrated for all essential oils tested. Chamomile oil exhibited a high selectivity index and seems to be a promising candidate for topical therapeutic application as virucidal agents for treatment of herpes genitalis."Link
6.Associated topics: nerve-pain — "Topical high-concentration L-menthol is the only established human experimental pain model to study mechanisms underlying cold hyperalgesia. We aimed at investigating the combinatorial effect of cold stimuli and topical L-menthol on cold pain and secondary mechanical hyperalgesia. Cold detection threshold and cold pain threshold (CPT) increased after L-menthol and remained high after the cold rekindling cycles.... Skin blood flow increased after L-menthol and stayed stable after cold cycles. Repeated application of cold on skin treated by L-menthol facilitated and prolonged L-menthol-induced cold pain and hyperalgesia."Link
7.Associated topics: scalp — "It is suggested that the in vivo effect of tea tree oil ointment in the therapy of fungal infections of the skin and mucous membranes as well as in the treatment of dandruff, a mild form of seborrheic dermatitis, may be at least partly due to an antifungal activity of tea tree oil."Link
