Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

Mum had a hammer toe for years as well as bone-on-bone knee joints. The flare ups started to run together until it was one long pain cycle. Mum also has Alzheimer's so whatever is on her mind at the moment is spoken. She spoke about her sore toe often as well as the burning pain in her knees.

A good friend had introduced me to Young Living Oils. On a lark I took the suggestion of using 2 or 3 drops of Lavender oil and 1 drop of Peppermint in the center of my hand and applying to the afflicted toe. I used the same for each knee, making sure I got this all around the knee and sides. Gently I massaged this in, one area at a time.

Inside of a week Mum did not remember that she had a sore toe. Within a month (under a month really) the hammer toe had completely straightened out!

Mum's knees still hurt, but she was hardly mentioning this problem. When asked about the pain, she would say that it hurts, however Mum's facial expressions and tone of voice told me that her pain was less than before.

Within two weeks (doing this at least once a day, sometimes 2x/day) she only said her knees hurt about 1x a week. This was without prodding at all.

After about 2 months the treatments started to lessen in its effectiveness....the same friend suggested the PanAway oil blend as an alternate solution. BINGO -- this worked really well on Mum's knees.

I now alternate on a monthly basis, between the two treatments.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: joints, osteoarthritis, arthritis — "Ruxiang (Gummi olibanum), the dried gum resin of Boswellia carterii (BC) [frankincense], has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to alleviate pain and inflammation for thousands of years.... The data show that BC extract has significant anti-arthritic and anti-inflammation effects and suggest that these effects may be mediated via the suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines."Link
2.Associated topics: joints, osteoarthritis, arthritis — "We have demonstrated that Boswellia frereana [frankincense] prevents collagen degradation, and inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory mediators and MMPs. Due to its efficacy we propose that B. frereana should be examined further as a potential therapeutic agent for treating inflammatory symptoms associated with arthritis."Link
3.Associated topics: joints — "Herbalists treat skin ailments, such as fungal infections (like candidiasis), wounds, eczema, and acne, with lavender oil. It is also used in a healing bath for joint and muscle pain. One study evaluating treatments for children with eczema found [that] it was therapeutic touch from the mother that improved symptoms; in other words, massage with and without essential oils (including lavender) both reduced the dry, scaly skin lesions. Another study found that lavender oil may improve pain control after surgery."Link
