Oils Saved Our Rabbit From A Red Back Bite

Our beloved pet bunny was bitten by a red back spider and was looking pretty grim when I went out to feed him one morning. I brought him inside for my son to say 'Goodbye' and also to keep an eye on him. I initially put Lavender oil behind his neck and some Thieves oil blend on his paws as I still wasn't 100% sure it was a red back.

After an hour he was still breathing so I put him on a hot water bottle as he was pretty cold and then put Palo Santo on him. I wanted to use the Purification oil blend as well, but we had recently run out so I made up my own blend with Frankincense, Tea Tree, Lavender and Rosemary.

I then kept applying small amounts to the rabbit during the course of the day. The longer he was lasting the more I held out hope that he was going to pull through, though I was worried that he wasn't taking any water or food.

By night fall he still couldn't move but was taking small amounts of water from a dropper. The next morning a very beautiful smelling bunny that was in perfect health was looking at me eagerly to be let out of the box for a good run around and to have something to eat.
