My 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier has a cracked tooth. It is one of the big molars that is no fun to have removed. Our holistic vet told us to keep an eye on it since it would be a serious surgery to remove it.
We've been monitoring it but one morning, he woke up with a swollen face. After checking, sure enough his cracked tooth was infected. I rubbed on drop of Ocotea oil directly on the area a few times that day and put 1 drop in a capsule and fed that to him that morning and night.
The next morning the swelling was almost completely gone! I continued this for about 3-4 days and the swelling and infection were totally gone by day 5.
There has been no sign of infection for about 10 months.
