This has happened to me several times so I know it works well for me. I start getting a fever blister on the lower edge of my nostril, I put the Purification oil blend on neat, yes it burns a little so you might want to dilute it a little, but by the next morning there is no sign of the blister or even a tender place where the blister was starting.
I told this to a friend of mine with Herpes II. She gets lesions on her lower back just above her tail bone, she did the same thing I did on my nose. She puts Purification Oil neat, the next day the lesions are gone. She says she does this at the first tingle of an outbreak, however the first time she tried it a lesion had already formed. It worked both ways.
Be prepared for some burning sensation if you use it neat, have some V-6 Oil or other vegetable oil ready to cut the essential oil if you need to.
