Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I was miserable, I woke up with a swollen eyelid and my eye was filling a bit scratchy. I pushed it off to allergies, as I was traveling. By the second day, my tear duct was about double in size (it felt as if it was taking over my eye), my eyelid was double in size and I could barely blink as my eye was dry and felt as if it was scratching my eye.

I looked up in the Essential Desk Reference, relieved to find it mentioned and recommended Lavender. However, I was frustrated that I had grabbed the bottle of Lavender that was empty from home. I was looking through the oils I did have with me, to use one of the blends that would have Lavender. I could use the RutaVaLa or Valor. I decided to go with Valor because I thought, if I did get it in my eye, it would have almond oil :-). The frankinsence would help heal too.

I put a drop on my finger and applied it carefully to my swollen eyelid and then a drop to my inside corner of my eye - on my swollen tearduct.

It immediately started burning, as I started looking for olive oil thinking I had 'screwed up', my eye started draining. My dad and daughter were amazed as it appeared someone had just dumped a bucket of water down my face. My eye streamed! After about 30 seconds, it slowed down and within 5 minutes it had stopped "draining".

Although I didn't feel as if I needed more, I applied another drop, and then later at bedtime. The next morning my eye looked normal, tender, but no longer swollen. I don't remember how long it took to completely be better, as I lost track. Thank goodness to YL's training and the power of the oils.

P.S. Always travel with Lavender! :-)
