My Mom was cooking and grabbed a utensil that had been sitting by the burner, not realizing that the handle had been actually touching the burner. It singed her skin, and she immediately put her hand under running water (lukewarm). Then she remembered my telling her about using Lavender oil on a burn I had (which healed completely and left no scar at all).
Mom had no essential oil handy but did have her little bottle of Thieves spray sitting nearby. She immediately squirted it on the burn, and then as it dried, sprayed some more. The place where the utensil touched caused blisters, but She kept spraying it with Thieves until she went to bed, and said that the next morning, it was healed. Tender pink skin but no scarring.
